Welcome to your eCommerce Guide

SHOPPING CART SOFTWARE:

Fortune3 Shopping Cart Software – Our robust eCommerce software was made by online
retailers for online retailers. Our shopping cart has all the features you need to build a successful
ecommerce store with great functionalities.

SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING:

Google Adwords – Google Adwords is the largest platform for Pay-Per-Click marketing which
allows you to post ads based on keywords in the search engine (Google.) This may just be the
most powerful current form of marketing that can bring great traffic if you have the sufficient
budget.

Microsoft Adcenter – The Microsoft Adcenter platform is also one of the largest PPC network
which now places your ads in the Bing search engine as well as the Yahoo search engine.

DATA AND RESEARCH:

Google Analytics – Google Analytics will provide you with as much information as you need to
know about your website. This is currently the most robust analytics platform in the world (in
my opinion) that is free of charge providing great information regarding keywords, demographic
information, location and much much more. You NEED to have Google Analytics if not some
type of analytics software to look at on a daily basis.

Google Keyword Tool – Another great FREE tool by Google that provides an estimate of
keyword and related keyword searches on a global and local monthly level.
COMPARISON SHOPPING MARKETING:
BizRate – A reliable great comparison search engine comparison site where millions of
consumers search and buy products. Directs users directly to your ecommerce page. Works on a
PPC model.

Nextag – Another great comparison shopping engine which works the same as BizRate and can
bring significant traffic and boost sales.

PriceGrabber – Great comparison shopping engine.

Shopping.com – A comparison shopping engine that commands a lot of traffic and powers
Yahoo shopping.  The downside of Shopping.com is it has very poor customer service.

AUCTION/SALES CHANNELS:
Amazon – You can list products and is currently one of the largest websites in the world where
millions of consumers shop monthly.

eBay – An auction (or buy it now) website to list and sell your products. Very poor in terms of
customer service and very competitive but is sure to compliment your sales if you can compete
in that marketplace. eBay is very feedback driven.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
FaceBook – You can and should create a Facebook fan page for your business and should link to
your Facebook fan page from your website. Also, you should have the Facebook ‘like’ button on
all your product pages as it helps promote products.

Twitter – Connects you with your customers and possible consumers worldwide. A great channel
to announce coupons and specials. Very powerful if you know how to use it to your advantage
and market your brand/products.
BLOGGING:
WordPress – The largest and most robust blogging platform on the net. There are thousands of
free themes or you can customize your own theme to go with your website. Blogging is an
essential part of online marketing and ecommerce.

Blogger – Googles version of wordpress and also a very good blogging platform (but would stick
to wordpress.)

Drupal – Another great blogging platform which is gaining market share and popularity with its
easy to use functionalities.

Ice Rocket – A great blog search engine which also gives you analytical information on buzz
keywords, topics and much more.

VIDEO:
YouTube – The largest video hub in the world which drives billions of views on a monthly basis
which you can upload you product videos and get exposure.

Vimeo – A great video hub which provides great quality output to your videos online which
allows you to embed them as well to your website.

MetaCafe – Another video hub where you can upload your videos and get exposure and views to
product and company videos.

AFFILIATE MARKETING:
Commission Junction – The largest affiliate marketing company which serves many (if not the
biggest) ecommerce companies in the world. While pricey, it is the most robust and largest
network of affiliate marketers.

RETARGETING MARKETING:
Criteo – Platform that allows you to personalize ads and bring consumers back to your website.

Fetchback – Another platform that allows to you target users that have visited your website and
serve ads to them while browsing the net.
