English Please revise the first two acts of ‘The Merchant of Venice’ in
preparation for the test which will be given immediately upon
return to school.
Concentrate on plot, setting, characters, relationships and the
four main themes the class has explored in the play.
Please bring the examination papers with you to class upon
return to school. The class will be examining Paper 1 Functional
Writing for the next two weeks.

French Complete revision on the Passe Compose(avoir and etre). Write a letter
describing what you did at the weekend, explaining the present weather
conditions and what you will do this week.
maths go back to red book and revise trigonometry and area and
volume, I will test these when we return
history Preparation for Xmas test now scheduled for Thursday 9th
December: All sections on the Second World War and the Cold
War.
music • Practice pieces for Practical.
• Revise Set Songs using text-book, chart and CD.
• Revise Set Works. Follow score in text-book. Ensure all signs and
terms are understood and that you can identify what instruments
are playing. Use copy and glossary (dictionary) in the back of
book.
• Revise all Irish Music topics: Trad Group, Trad Soloist, Sean Nos
Singing , Sean Nos Songs and examples, Players of Instruments,
The Harp, Belfast Harp Festival, Bunting, Carolan, Bill Whelan,
Organisations promoting Traditional Music.
• Learn features in charts for Choice Songs and Choice Works.
• Continue questions in workbook from last page of homework given
on Thursday 2nd Dec. Do 2 more examples. (Ignore any short
question that mentions cadences).
