ABSTRACT and INTRODUCTION:

Generative algorithms to create forms of spatial envelopes

Parametric Design: A study of geometrical parameters in spatial envelopes created using generative
algorithmic techniques.

This paper describes generative algorithmic techniques used to create geometrical forms.

Algorithmic techniques are with a rational approach to geometrical compositions, technology and
application of mathematics. It is based on computer technology and particularly on programming. 1

The technique of generative algorithms makes possible to create geometrical compositions which could
be visualized as spatial forms. Therefore we first explore relations of technology and mathematics to
design and then describe algorithmic techniques.
