Dear Miss Enger,

As a group, we have decided that introducing a recipe for our project would give us a good
challenge in making directions for the targeted audience involved. The recipe that we have
chosen would be the recipe of a Pumpkin Roll. We were able to find a recipe that followed the
criteria of the project and having the ability for a quality Pumpkin Roll desert.

The reasoning behind why we chose the recipe is that this gave us a good challenge towards the
targeted audience. Our targeted audience would include a person who enjoys baking. This level
doesn’t have to be a professional level but some experience may be necessary for the level of
difficulty that is at hand.

The format that we are using is just the basic numerical list of instructions. This format would
consist of numbering the steps in order for the reader to conduct. Along with the numerical steps,
we have listed some pictures to also enhance the reader’s ability to solve the task. The pictures
consist of the showing of thickness of the batter, how to lay the batter on the pan and so forth.
This is the format we will be using for the group project.
