Association I hope to be considered for the position.

I will graduate from the North Dakota State University in December of 2011 where I have studied
communications with an emphasis in public relations. I have learned a lot about applying
communication theories to the professional world as well as maintaining and building company
relations with the media, clients and consumers. I have focused most of my research on public
relations within non-profit and health communications.

Alongside my academic career in communications, I have experience communicating in the work


place as well as working on public relations campaigns in the North Dakota State University
community, specifically with Public Relations Student Society of America. I have worked at Gap
as a Customer Experience Manager where I motivate employees to implement customer service
techniques to further business success and customer relations. From my experiences at Gap I have
learned the importance and fine skill of working with customers and selling product. While
working on public relation campaigns at NDSU. I have gained experience listening and working
with clients in order to best represent them to the public. With PRSA, I have greatly developed my
leadership and organization skills.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet and discuss future employment with American
Lung Association. I truly believe I can positively add to this position and American Lung
