Leadership and Influence

The ability to influence others is quickly becoming the new currency of success. As a

result, I believe that the best method to realize one's leadership potential is to amass influence, as

it is the only reliable way to inspire others to follow one's lead. By keeping this in mind, I have

worked hard over the years to increase my clout and eventually become a leader in my field and

the local community. Because of this, I have assumed leadership positions in my academics,

professional life, and the local community. As an undergraduate, I served as the head of the

Christian Society's events committee for six months. My other four coworkers and I were in

charge of planning our weekly services. Although our department was very small, we had many

early-on issues involving conflict. Understanding the potential harm it could create, I tried to

mitigate it through direct dialogue. It was difficult since I had never before encountered such

selfish people. Still, I was confident that in my position as a leader, I would be able to inspire my

followers to work toward the greater welfare of our community. I was able to bring them

together by talking more frequently.

Relationship-building and shared learning

I think it doesn't matter what field one works in; having a robust network is essential for

professional success. Personal experience has taught me the value of cultivating and maintaining

a wide and deep network of professional contacts to learn about new opportunities and be abreast

of industry trends. In addition, talking to people from different backgrounds can teach you a lot.

I've benefited much from the information I've gained through establishing professional

relationships with doctors; I've changed my diet and taken other measures to protect myself from

developing lifestyle diseases like diabetes as a result of what I've learned. Knowledge is power,

after all, and one of the best ways to acquire knowledge is through conversation with those who

know more than you do. Building and keeping connections through social media is highly

efficient. Social networks are the digital reflection of what humans do to connect and share.

Studying in the UK

I hope to complete my master's degree at one of three universities in the United

Kingdom: Manchester, Kent, or Glasgow. The long-term aim of moving up the corporate ladder

has driven my decision to focus my efforts. These schools appeal to me because of their

outstanding reputations for innovation and research, and their programs are well-aligned with my

professional aspirations. I believe that the exceptional educational and research opportunities

offered by these three universities will give me a head start in my professional life. In particular,

the University of Manchester stands out because it is placed sixth in the United Kingdom in the

2019 Academic Ranking of World Universities. In addition to a wealth of academic support

services, my time here will be enhanced by the opportunity to participate in the many campus

organizations where I may meet like-minded people and share my perspectives.

Career plan

After finishing my studies in the UK, I plan to use the new abilities and information I

have gained to good use. Therefore, my short-term professional goal will be to use my new

qualifications to seek employment appropriate to my master's degree program as soon as I return

to my country. Given my prior work experience and newly acquired master's degree, I don't think

it will be too hard to land my first job back in the States upon my return. Before applying for a

more senior job, I plan to allow myself around 10 years in this role to build up my skills,

expertise, and network of people in the business sector and government. As a result, I'll be able

to apply better everything I've learned in school and on the job toward providing the government

and government agencies with the expert guidance they require. By pursuing professional

advancement, I can make adjustments based on my experience and the prevailing conditions.
