Last week, we've covered the procedures in drama activities. For this week some groups started to present their drama demonstrations. Using storytelling effectively and some accessories such as masks were the points I liked most. Having the students involved in the activities was the best way in order not to lose the house during the presentation.

Last week, we’ve covered the procedures in drama activities. For
this week some groups started to present their drama demonstrations. The first group dealt with a “Song Contest” in their drama activity by using some role cards in the shape of microphones, a jury and some singers as characters whom the audience enjoyed thanks to obvious and a little bit exaggerated characteristic features of singers and jury members. 2nd presentation was about an ‘’Airplane Crash’’. Using storytelling effectively and some accessories such as masks were the points I liked most, because storytelling aroused our curiosity when they stopped suddenly. Moreover, while one of the presenters giving the instructions, the other one showed what the other one said nonverbally, I liked it very much, because it gave a chance to show sth real from our lives, how important and real this kind of nonverbal communication was and made the presentation more realistic and enjoyable. On Wednesday two other groups presented their drama activities. The first group used a “Wedding Ceremony” as a drama activity and the second group chose “Dummy’s Dinner”. Both of the activities were enjoyable. In the first drama activity we learnt some figures for tango and this caused chaos because nobody followed the instructions of the presenters and they just began to dance, actually at that point I thought that the instructions should have been given before inviting the student to the stage, but the part in which we participated in a wedding ceremony and gave advices to the new couple was very creative and had us used the language according to its function appropriately and using some golden advice cards proved that how important using something from real life in making the setting more realistic and enjoyable is. In the second presentation I wanted the whole class to participate in the activity and in order to make this happen, the presenters may have got the students involved in the pre activity which was preparing meal for dinner. Finally, the things became prominent for me were having the students involved in the activities was the best way in order not to lose the house during the presentation, but while trying to get the students involved we should care the steps first in order not to cause a chaotic atmosphere.
