11th REFLECTION, 20-22 DECEMBER This week on Monday, there were two presentations including mine. Dividing the class into groups and inviting us to the stage before giving instructions clearly caused a chaotic atmosphere on the stage. On Wednesday, I couldn't come to school because my illness, that's why I missed two demonstrations, so I couldn't comment on them.

This week on Monday, there were two other presentations including
mine. The first presentation was a “TV program” in which different herbs against illnesses were discussed by a moderator, a doctor and the audience which had many different health problems. Lastly, in this presentation a competition was held, but I witnessed that how important dividing the class into groups is, because again the presenters just divided the class into groups and invited us to the stage before giving instructions clearly, so it caused a chaotic atmosphere on the stage and the presenters as teachers couldn’t control whether the students use the target language and its function appropriately. The second presentation was ours and it was about “weather conditions”. Firstly, one of us, Munise, introduced the topic with the storytelling technique which required a student to perform the activities of the story in front of the whole class by using some accessories and the rest had to mime the movements of the student in the front as if they were using the same accessories. Next, this was my turn, the students were divided into groups and the groups were given a role card. Each group had to prepare a little scene to act out. Grouping, giving instructions, having the whole class’ attention worked, but there was one point to pay attention was not to touch the students during the presentation. On Wednesday, I couldn’t come to school because my illness, that’s why I missed two demonstrations, so I couldn’t comment on them
