Hebrews 13:17

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those
who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for
you.

Obedience may differ depending on how one view it.

Here are some examples:

a) I obey because of obligation


b) I’ll obey but you should give what I deserve
c) I’ll obey but you should inject what I want
d) I’ll obey but listen to my opinion
e) I’ll obey you for It pleases the Lord

We all obey but, no one including me would courageously say that I fully obey my leader
without being doubled minded and anxious. This is the reality of life. We all obey but, we always look on
our sides and think twice before obeying. Let us see what the scripture tells us about obedience.
