Subject: Investigation Process/Progress

Gulf South is taking the following steps to investigate the allegations raised:

1. Began locating relevant documents maintained by either Gulf South or its third party inspector

ITI. Gulf South has begun validating those records and entering them into an electronic format.
2. Focused on the pipe identified in the material provided during the interview. With respect to that

pipe:
a) The pieces of pipe had actually been delivered to Gulf South were identified.

b) The current physical location of that pipe was identified in terms of which yard or being

strung on a particular spread.

c) The pipe is being checked against various paper and electronic records to determine

whether the pipe had been cleared at certain key inspection points.
d) The pipe delivered by Jindal will be physically inspected unless they have been buried.

e) Appropriate testing (NDE, visual) will be determined for the pipe. Records of the testing

will be created.
3. Began pulling weld x-rays from Jindal and evaluating certain of the x-rays. We will also audit
repair x-rays.
4. To the extent any anomaly is found with respect to a particular piece of pipe that pipe will be set
aside pending additional review.

5. Began the implementation of a unique pipe and double joint numbering system on a database

independent of Jindal's control.
