Three Wishes for 2011

If my family was more generous, if I would be better in academics, and if the world would stop
being stereotypical, my 3 New Year wishes would succeed. These wishes may not happen because I
can’t prevent the world in stopping stereotypes. But as for me and my family’s wishes, I can be
responsible.

My first wish has to do with me and it would to be better academics in the subjects Language
arts, Science, and French. I rarely improve in those subjects even though I try hard. It feels like there is
no possible reason I can’t improve but it’s probably because I just don’t try hard enough. Language Arts
is the hardest subject for me. Science is the most boring topic in my opinion and French is hard to learn
of course, it’s a new language for me. If I don’t accomplish, at least I tried and that’s what matters. I am
following Mr.Becks class rule.... be the best that I can be. With that saying it makes me more positive
and constructive on what I am trying to achieve.

My next wish has to do with my family. Since we don’t donate so much my wish if for my family
to be more charitable. Usually we donate to the Salvation Army, give money to the people on the streets
and one time, a man was begging but we thought he was a drug addict. We bought a dish from a store
and brought it out for him to eat. BUT, that was only 1 time. When friends come our family doesn’t give
the guests food many times, usually it’s just fruits and chips, nothing very special. Not only does my
family need to be more generous but even I also need to. When I get a good recess treat I don’t share it,
being generous is an important real life skill.

My third wish has to do for everyone in the whole world. It is to end stereotypes from where
people are from, personal personalities and visual personalities. Such as how people say that blondes
are stupid, there are many smart blondes in my class and the world. Then they judge personal
characters and were people are from. It makes me sad when I hear something that has to do with
stereotypes.

Many people have different wishes and many people may disagree my world wish. It depends
what situation you’re in, such as if you are getting bullied, you would probably wish the person bullying
you would stop. But although there are still lots of helpful world and family wishes such as ending wars,
ending racism, making the family for joyful and healthy.
