Course Objective:

This course on ‘Management Perspectives’ takes us beyond the traditional ‘principles of

management’. Rooted in the syadvad (multiple perspectives) approach to life, it provides an
overview of various perspectives and viewpoints that influence the discipline of management as well
as practice of management. These perspectives are analyzed and synthesized to get an integrative

theory and its linkages with social concerns. In essence, this course suggests the need for paradigm
shift from ‘principles of management’ to ‘perspectives on management’.
