What have we learned this week?

• We learned the sounds j

and v.
• We practised our other
sounds as well.
• We used whiteboards and
pens to practise writing our
new letters.
• We practiced making
words with our sounds in
them and wrote them on
our whiteboards.
Assessments
• We have been doing more work
this week to do with our topic.
• We had to sort lots of different
pictures of old and new toys and
stick in the correct place on our
table. We had to decide if they
were made of wood, metal, plastic
or something else. Mrs Swan
then talked to us about where we
had stuck them and asked us
questions about it.
• Mrs Pascall let us play with some
old toys and then asked us some
questions about them.
Toys Topic
• This week we finished the
toys we were making out of
‘junk’. We used paint,
feathers, glitter, sequence and
all sorts of accessories to
decorate our models.
• We got our picture taken with
our model and took it in turns
with our partner to take it
home to show the people
what we had done.
• Look at all the fantastic
models we made!

Activity Time
We enjoyed lots of activities this
week as we hadn’t had activity time
in a while.
• We enjoyed using the paints to
make our own paintings.
• We got a chance to play in the sand.
• Mrs Swan worked with us to learn
the months of the year and we had
to cut and stick them in the correct
order.
• We enjoyed looking at our new
folders with all the photos and
information about what we have
been learning.
• Mrs Rice and Mrs Pascall let us
hear the story of Jack and the
Beanstalk on the computers and
then we coloured our favourite
character.
