Collectivism

By Kathleen Tynan

No questions.
No learning.
No conversation.
It is a sin to think words no others think.

One job.
One task.
One routine.
Men have no cause to exist save in toiling for other men.

All together.
All the time.
All as one.
What is not done collectively cannot be good.

Miserable.
Weary.
Robotic.
The word “We” is lime poured over men.
Individualism
By Kathleen Tynan

We are equality 7-2521.

We want to know more.
We like to ask questions.
We want to learn.
We are damned.
We have discovered light.
We want to share it,
But not betray it.
We think of a female.
We call them “the golden one.”
They call us “the unconquered.”
We alone love them.
We run away into the uncharted forest.
The golden one follows.
We discover a house.
We create our own kingdom.
“I” discover the truth.
I name myself Prometheus.
I name “the golden one” Gaea
I love her.
My friends come to join us.
I am recreating the world.
I have saved the sacred word: EGO.
