EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project helped me to learn about “State Bank of

India”.SBI play a vital role in Indian economy. It is largest
public sector bank. Bank where equity is hold by public,
government entities etc. management is in the hands of
government i.e. the work is on the basis of government
instructions.
This project explains about the public sector
banks, products and services provided by SBI, corporate
governance, strategic initiatives, growth, risk management,
HRM, comparison with ICICI bank, etc. regarding the State
Bank of India.
The project will be giving in brief, the origin of State Bank
of India i.e. how SBI started and their role towards the India.
Largely it conclude that SBI with their in built strength,
vigor, vitality and consistent with their resources and branch
network play in significance role in programme
development, expansion, diversification of the economy.
