STUDENTS ACTION COMMITTEE

Website: www. sac4service.webs.com
E-mail: sac.helpinghands@gmail.com

Every year from Bapatla Engineering College nearly 1200 students pass out with their graduation .In
the same Bapatla there are about 2000 child labour.
“Give me seven dedicated persons I will change the world “said by a famous socialist Swami Vive-
kananda .By taking these words as inspiration, there was a thought that, can’t 1200 students change the
destiny of atleast 200 children out of 2000? This thought was implemented by few of our students in the
form of SAC, Students Action Committee.

Achievements of Students Action Committee

1) It had carried about 250 child labour from the hardworking condition to the stream of education.

2) It had been successfully running a hostel since three years for the children.

3) It also takes care of the health problems of the children and conducts monthly health check up.

4)Every year nearly 40 children join the hostel and committee has been providing the basic needs and
requirements for the children.

5) Every day the volunteers conduct study hours in which each children individually assessed.

6) Three of the children had completed their 10th s with distinction under the guidance of SAC and are
doing their Intermediate.

Their entire tuitions fees is bared by the committee. For all these things the money needed is col-
lected from the students and faculty in the college by volunteers. Till this date committee have spent
Rs.1,48,000 for the requirements to maintain hostel.
