9. New forms of generating energy, like the steam engine, allowed for new technology to be
developed.

10. Postal service was developed in England.

11. The primary job of women, especially the rich, was to manage the household.

12. Women were able to work in the new factories that were created during the Industrial
Revolution.

13. The birth rate grew and some mothers were stuck raising as much as 10 children.
