qhe process of the O0N0 Commonwealth dames resulted in the multiple violations of human rights of
aelhi’s working poor, including the homeless, ‘beggars,’ street vendors, slum dwellers, and
construction workers. lne of the least reported violations has been the forced eviction and demolition
of homes of thousands of aelhi’s residents. eousing and iand oights ketwork (eiokF undertook a
fact-finding mission on forced evictions carried out for the Commonwealth dames. thile highlighting
the continued suffering of aelhi’s displaced communities, the eiok report analyses the situation and
raises critical questions about the process related to the forced evictions. qhe fact-finding report also
makes strong recommendations aimed at promoting state accountability and urging concerned
government agencies and other actors to bring about restitution, redress, and justice.

The release of the report will be followed by a presentation of main findings of
