Notes On My Titles
Notes On My Titles
I have been thinking about my film’s titles and I have decided how I am going to
present my titles. I am going to run my titles alongside the events in my film opening,
and I am going to have my titles appear in the negative effect of the background,
meaning that my titles should be seen at all times. For my actually movie title, I plan
to use an erratic style font with the sound of chalk being scrawled against a
blackboard in the background. The background will be black and the title will be
white, this should hopefully show the audience that the title has been written and will
give the film more of a story feel, making the audience feel that the story is personal
to the character. Since the events that will follow will show the main protagonist
writing in her diary, the audience will immediately recognise this character to be
central to the film’s narrative.
Below is an example of the opening titles from a film. (NOTE: This has been taken
from the website http://www.jamesoregan.com/Edsville/edcredit.htm#Front, so please
don’t sue me!)
