• IIT conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) every year mostly during April for the admission to its B-Tech and other
courses offered at the IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kharakpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IT
Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.
• Entrance exam for 15 IITs and joint institutes.
• About 4 lac aspirants compete for 6,500 seats.
• Based on CBSE pattern.
• Subjected based on: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
• Exam pattern changes regularly. Involves negative marking for incorrect answers.

AIEEE

• All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE)

• Entrance exam for 20 NITs (former REC). Also an entrance & eligibility for 15% seats in Engineering Colleges in
Maharashtra.

• More than 30 lac aspirants nationwide.
