Please write on ONE of the following:

1. “Corporate governance is the system by which business corporations are directed and
controlled.” (OECD, 1999). Using the Bank of Jamaica’s Standard of Best Practices for
Effective Corporate Governance of Deposit-Taking Entities, assess the corporate
governance system in two organisations.

2. The purpose of the Labour Relations Code “is to set out guidelines which in the opinion
of the Minister will be helpful for the purpose of promoting good labour relations” at
the workplace. Assess the extent to which these guidelines have been implemented in
two organizations, one of which should be unionised.
