Passing By

Hello my spiritual friend,

I saw you coming from up around the bend.

How are you and how have things been for you,

Have you rested from your labors…that is… are you through?

I have not dismissed my labors nor am I convinced of an end

…You say you seen me coming from around the bend?

I am not sure just how that could be.

Please do not prattle, nor concern yourself,

Come in and have a seat, I just need to place these tomes upon the shelf

That is when I heard the noise, you know when one is sleeping…that is when one snores.
