Reflection

Objectives
Reflection serves several important purposes. It helps you to:
bring experience and knowledge together to produce new learning that is
personally meaningful
gain insight into your learning, your personal development and your growth as a
communicator.

Procedure
1. Take 5-10 minutes to write your reflections on what you have learnt about
yourself as a communicator. Your reflections can be based on the tutorials and/or
lectures you have attended or on a communication experience.

2. Some questions to guide your reflections:

What have I learned thus far in the course about communication?
What have I learned about my strengths and weaknesses as a communicator?
What idea did I find most interesting or exciting? Which was most puzzling?
What have I learned that was most helpful? What was not helpful?
What other ways could I have learned what I was taught?
How I can apply what I have learned in my communication with family,
friends and others?
What have I learned about working in a group? What are the positive and
negative aspects of how I work with others?
