2. Compound Attack (*combine feeds to match attack)

3. Defend / Counter
a) 8 Basic defense positions – Simultaneous attack / defense
b) Evade and Counter
c) Leg guard – Hand attack (simple, compound)
d) Stop-kick / Strike
e) Interceptions

Monitoring in Tzu Jan Martial Art


a) Utilize the Centerline Principle and Theory of Facing (from Wing
Chun Gung Fu)
b) Your hand/arm monitors opponent’s hand/arm on same side of
centerline
c) Your foot/leg monitors opponent’s foot/leg on same side of centerline
*Always keep your guard between your opponent’s weapons and
you!
