EXISTING STOCKS-TO-WATCH (Buy): MBSB.

HOW TO TRADE ON MONDAY (MAR 21 2011): STAY ASIDE
STOCK MARKET OUTLOOK (For Mar 21, 2011): WE REMAIN BEARISH ON KLSE STOCKS IN THE
LIGHT OF WHAT IS HAPPENING IN JAPAN & MIDDLE EAST.
On Friday’s close the KLCI was up by 11.80 points or 0.79% at 1503.89 on lower volume of 988 million shares
traded. Advancers led decliners by 501 to 250 with 271 stocks unchanged.
1. We were right about “flah in the pan” rebounds in stocks like LINGUI, EKSONS, LEWEKO, SANBUMI,
PWORTH, MIECO, SEAL and WTK.
2. Only TAANN closed on a positive note yesterday.
3. The rest of the stocks that rose were lower liners and selective index stocks.
4. We are still not convinced that this rebound can follow through next week as the KLCI is still in bearish
territory.
5. The index is below the 10-50 moving averages, RSI < 50, MACD<0, and MACD is below Signal line.
6. Hence we remain bearish on the Malaysian stock market.
7. There may be a handful of stocks that can rally next Monday and we pick MBSB, PETDAG and new
stock NAGAMAS.
8. Other than that we remain sidelined for next week.
9. The ringgit was stronger at 3.0510 from 3.0650.
CONCLUSION: The local index rebounded by 11.8 points to close above the 1500 level, at 1503.89
on last minute propping up. We remain sidelined as the overall market sentiments remains bearish.
The KLCI never gave us a buy signal all along as it is below its 10-50 SMA and MACD is < 0 and
MACD < Signal Line.

FOREX (U.S. dollar is strengthening against the AUD, RINGGIT, NZD but still weak against the
EURO, GBP. GOLD is sideways)
STOCK INDEX FUTURES OUTLOOK
Stock index futures: MAINTAIN SHORT/BUY STOP @ 1503 OH.
MARCH FKLI futures closed up 7.5 point to 1498.5 on lower volume of 5771 lots.
1. We remained short on FKLI as it did not trigger our buy stop.
2. KLCI jumped to close above 1500 in last minute window dressing but FKLI did not follow suit. As such
we remain short.
3. We expect the following targets of 1460/1424 and 1412.
4. Our buy stop is at 1503 OH.
5. Note price is below “clouds” based on Ichimoku charts, which suggests long term bearishness.
General commentary: We are maintaining shorts. Expect falls to test 1460/1424/1412. Buy stop @
1503 OH.
Upside target:1549/1646/1758 (Amended on 08/12/10)
Downside targets: 1460/1424/1412 (Amended on 10/3/11)
Kumo resistance (Span A): 1524 (Updated on 08/03/11).
Average True Range for KLFE: A.T.R. is 18.29 points for FKLI futures. This implies you need to put a stop
above/below this A.T.R. or you can get stopped out due to the volatility factor. We advocate a 1.5 x or 2 x the
ATR. We are using a 5 days ATR.

Continuation Sheet 3

CRUDE PALM OIL FUTURES

Crude palm oil futures: MAINTAIN SHORT/BUY STOP @ 3485 OH/TGTS 3069/2680
JUNE CPO futures closed up 108 points at 3446 on relatively lower volume of 10488 lots.
1. CPO futures rebounded but did not hit our buy stop at 1485.
2. As such we remain short.
3. The rebound on Friday was not confirmed by volume, hence we are sceptical about its strength.
4. We expect a breakdown of this second “bearish flag” soon to continue with its downtrend.
5. We continue to maintain our stand that CPO can test 3069. Around 3069, CPO may stage rebound but
further weakness would complete this down trend pattern at 2680 – the 1.618 area.
6. Downside targets: 3069 and 2680.
7. Note that CPO is now bearish based on the Ichimoku charts.
General commentary: We have re-entered June CPO. We remain short but place buy stop at 3485
OH. We still expect further falls to test 3069/2680.
NOTE: If you are an intra-day player or a trader with a small capital, you should NOT use these daily stops
which is too much of a risk if it is triggered. We strongly suggest you to use the lower time frame charts and
use appropriate stops like pivot stops, 1,2 or 3-bar stops to protect losses.
Next upside target: 3580(hit)/3650/3720 (Revised on 24/2/11)
Downside support: 3310(hit)/3069/2680 (Revised on 11/03/11)
Kumo support: 3504 (Revised on 08/03/2011)
Average True Range for CPO: A.T.R. is 102.36 or CPO. This implies you need to put a stop above/below this
A.T.R. or you can get stopped out due to the volatility factor. We advocate a 1.5 x or 2 x the ATR. We are
using a 5 days ATR.
