Edible Book Festival

What is an Edible Book Festival? It is a contest for people to enter book-themed art that is
also edible. Edible Book Festivals are held throughout the world, uniting book lovers, book
artists, and food lovers. The entries can promote anything related to books: a scene or
character from a book, play, short story, comics, or poem or a book cover. All the ingredi-
ents must be entirely edible because at the end of the contest – everyone gets to eat the
creations!

 Anyone 5 years old and older can participate.

 You can make your book out of cake, bread, crackers, rice cakes, jell-o, fruit,
vegetables, flatbreads, seaweed, candy - anything truly EDIBLE that can sit out for
two hours without melting or spoiling.

 Please provide a list of all ingredients used when you drop off your entry.

 Entries must be suitable for family viewing.

 6 Entry Categories: * Children ages 5-7, * Children ages 8-10 , * Children 11-12,
* Teens 13-18, * Adults, *Adults Professional Chef/Cook

The schedule of the Festival will be:


5:45-6:15 p.m. Drop off entries at the Public Library
6:15 - 7:00 p.m. Viewing and voting
