BCIT Transfer Admissions
Students who are transferring to SFU with a completed program with a minimum average of 65% will
receive a combination of block transfers and waivers and/or a set number of credits. Please see
below for a listing of eligible programs
AULBCIT transfer students are asked to make an appointment with an Academic Advisor prior to
registration to ensure that both a proper program plan is undertaken and to avoid any duplicate
course work.

requested to make an appointment with an Academic Advisor prior to application to SFU. Such
programs will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. You should bring the following to your
advising appointment:
+ A copy of your unofficial BCIT transcript
+ Course outlines dated from the semesters in which your courses were taken. [For example, if
you took COMP 7036 in the fall of 2004, we require the outline for COMP 7036 from the fall of
2004.)
Some options may provide Upper Division [UD] credit as part of the overall total for that program.
UD credit is credit normally assigned for 3-400 level courses.
