I. Project Details:

Title of the Project: A Study of Evaluation of SME loan proposals by

DCB bank – Measures taken by DCB bank to maximise its market share
in SME financing.

Area of the Project: Finance

Objectives of the Project:

i) To study the criteria on which a loan proposal of SME clients is

evaluated

ii) To understand how to minimise the probability of clients turning

into defaulters

iii) To study the measures taken by DCB bank to enhance its market
share in SME financing .

Description of the Project in Brief: The purpose of the project is to study the
measures taken by the DCB bank to not to lose the potential customers and at
the same time not let them turn into bad debts. The project also describes the
steps followed by the DCB bank in the evaluation of SME loan proposals. The
DCB bank follows a centralised loan evaluation process which helps to improve
the turnaround time of approval and disbursement of credit proposals and
assures high level of customer satisfaction.

ii) Calculate relevant financial ratios and

iii) Evaluate the proposals using credit scoring sheet
