"Look! There is a big grasshopper on the stem of that plant, next to the clothes line", shouted
Samsul to his classmates, Rajan, Siong Chee, Peter and Onishi, who were chatting happily in
their tent. All the boys quickly rushed out to see it.

"Let's try to catch it. It'll be a good birthday present for Ramu. I know he likes animals very
much, especially insects", suggested Onishi.

"That's a marvellous idea, Onishi. Furthermore, we've not much to do at the moment. I'm
sure it will be great fun doing that. But, first of all, let me get some nets and bottles," said Peter.
Then the boys went into the jungle to catch grasshoppers.

As the boys were walking among the trees, Rajan suddenly cried out, "Ouch! Help!". His
friends quickly ran to the rescue. They saw Rajan lying at the bottom of a pit, groaning in pain.

The boys started building a ladder. Onishi then climbed down and carried Rajan out of the
pit. The boys took turns to carry Rajan out of the jungle. When they got to the road, a kind
passing motorist stopped and took Rajan to the nearest clinic.

It was on a fine Tuesday morning of the Wesak Day. Hisham did not go to school. After having
his lunch, he made his way to the wooden coop near a shed behind the house.

When he reached the coop, he heard some chirping sounds. Immediately he bent down to
look at the chickens in the coop. To his surprise, he saw a few yellow chicks. They were resting
comfortably under their mother. Hisham felt very happy. He raced home to tell his father the
good news.

His father was in his room, doing some work on his computer. When he saw Hisham running
into his room, he stopped working and asked, "Why do you look so happy? What's the good
news?"

"Father, the eggs in the coop have hatched. We've eight little chicks," Hisham replied with a
smile. Later, Hisham and his father went to the coop. Hisham brought along some rice and
green peas to feed the chicks.

En. Abdul looked at the clock in his house and said "Oh, no! It's already 8 o'clock. I am going to
be late." He ran out of his house and stopped a cab. "To the airport and please be quick," he said.

The taxi driver drove as fast as he could. The driver even drove past a red traffic light so
