RESOLUTION

NORTHWESTERN LEHIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

APRIL 14, 2011

WHEREAS, the Superintendent has recommended the curtailment or alteration of

education programs, pursuant to Section 11-1124 of the Public School Code; and,

WHEREAS, as a result of said proposed curtailment or alteration, it will be necessary to

abolish certain professional positions identified in the Superintendent’s recommendations.

NOW, THEREFORE, move that the Board approve the Superintendent’s Program

Modifications, to include the proposed abolishment of the following positions, and direct that the

recommendations be submitted to the Department of Education asking that it approve the proposed

curtailment or alteration and substantial decline in course enrollment resulting in the furlough of

professional staff as outlined below:
