that transport blood throughout the body.

The cardiovascular system is made of: heart and the

blood vessels.
The heart
Your heart is an organ made mostly of cardiac muscle
tissue.
The heart size is like a fist.
Blood vessels
There are three types of blood vessels: arteries,
capillaries and veins.
Arteries: the primary function is the carry blood (with
oxigen) away from the heart to the body.
Capillaries: is a tiny blood vessel thet allows exchanges
between blood and cells in other tisssue.
Veins: is carry blood (without oxigen) from the body
to the heart.
Two types of circulation
There are two types of circulation: pulmonary and
systemic circulation.
Pulmonary circulation: the flow of blood from the
heart to the lungs and back to the heart through the
pulmonary arteries, capillaries and veins.
Systemic circulation: the flow of blood from the heart
to all parts of the body and back to the heart.
Cardiovascular system
There are two principal cardiovascular problems.
