FIRE IN A BUILDING

Yesterday there was a dramatic scene in Cardedeu. A

fire of a building in the town centre killed nine
people and hurt twenty people.

The incident began at half past eleven. There was a

party in one of the flats and someone had a cooking
accident. The fire spread throughout the building
and there was a complete panic. People were
screaming and crying. Finally a girl of the second flat
phoned the police.

After ten minutes the firefighters were there putting

out the fire and evacuating the building. Later, one
of the victims of the incident said: “It was the most
dangerous experience of my life”.
