1. In a city, the probabilities that a family owns a sofa, a radio and a televisyen are 0.5,
0.8, 0.7 respectively. Draw a tree diagram based on the above statement.
Based on the diagram, find the probability that a family owns
(a) Only a radio
(b) Only a sofa and a televisyen
(c) None of the three items

2. Given a set of data x-3, x+7, 2x+3, 2x-5 and x-2 is 5. Find the value of x. Then find
the standard deviation.

3. The table below shows the distribution of marks for a test obtained by 150 students.
Calculate the mean, median, mode and standard deviation.

4. Rewrite Students without matric card are not allowed to enter to the library
using “if... then” statement.

5. The probability that a mango chosen at random from a store is rotten is 0.22. The
store has 200 mangoes. Estimate the number of good mangoes.

6. A computer password consists of an alphabet followed by 5 or 6 digits. Find the total


number of password that can be formed.

7. Determine whether 10 + 3 x 12 = 156 is a proposition. Explain your answer.

8. Given A=Peter likes fishing, B=Peter is tall and C=Peter passes the exam.
Rewrite the symbols (BA)C.

9. Let A(x,y) be the predicate x loves y and let the universe of discourse be the set of
all students. Express Someone loves someone to express in sentences.
