The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to
conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the
continuing benefit of the American people. Our ability to achieve our mission
depends on active cooperation with others. Fish and Wildlife Service is committed
to a collaborative approach to conservation. Our strategy is to empower Americans
to become citizen conservationists. The more the Service can empower people as
stewards of the land, the more effective we can be in our conservation mission.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service prides itself on the partnerships we have
created and are always looking for new opportune partnerships. This is a link to the
list of our current partnerships.

Ê
Ê The Service helps protect a healthy environment for people, fish and wildlife,
and helps Americans conserve and enjoy the outdoors and our living treasures. The
Service's major responsibilities are for migratory birds, endangered species, certain
marine mammals, and freshwater and anadromous fish. Scientifically-informed and
technologically-based stewardship of our public lands, waters, wildlife and special
places - if it is to succeed - must be done in collaboration and partnership with the
Service, with other governmental entities and, most importantly, with the citizens
who share and give form to our mission.

We are committed to building partnerships to encourage conservation and

preserve our natural and cultural resources bringing innovative approaches to
solving land management and water disputes in the most environmentally
protective manner. Through these formed relationships we have had some
unbelievable partnership success stories.
