Clevely’s Sea Festival

June 2010

Working with two schools in Clevelys I ran a series of drawing

and design workshops and then the children painted silk
windsocks to use in a parade along the seafront and I made
30 banners to decorate the site of the festival.

Cavendish Special Needs School

March 2010

Over the course of a term I worked with a small group of pupils at Cavendish
Special needs school. After introducing the group to a range of processes;
processes, textiles, printing, weaving and ceramics, the group chose the
process they enjoyed the most and decided what they woul like to make.
They created a colourful, textured ceramic mural for outside the school. Over
the course of the project the groups communication, group working and
evaluation skills improved notably.
