Then work the yoke.

12 of 16
Yoke
Yoke is worked in the round, increases before and after Raglan are made in every 2nd (odd) row.

It is recommended to highlight every full pattern (14 sts) with markers to make it easier to follow
the pattern.

Stitches (increases) which do not form a full pattern or half pattern yet (first and last sts of each
sector - back, front, sleeves) are worked as k, till you can work them in the pattern.

You can work first and last sts of each sector as follows:
Start working these stitches in the pattern, when there are at least 7 stitches on each side, then
you can work them as half pattern:
- first sts of the sector (after Raglan) are worked as last 7 sts of the pattern (last half pattern).
- last sts of the sector (before Raglan) are worked as first 7 sts of the pattern (first half pattern).
Then this half pattern is worked till you work 7 more sts to form a full pattern.

Please, make sure you increase 2 sts in each sector every other row, 8 sts in rnd in total.

Beginning:

You need to find central patterns in each sector to start working in pattern In the first rnd of the
yoke.

Sleeves:
Place a marker after 5 (6) 1 (10) 11 sts of the sleeve after Raglan, with this marker you highlight
1 (1) 2 (1) 1 full central patterns of the sleeve.
14 (14) 28 (14) 14 sts after the marker are sts of the central full patterns, place a marker after them
as well.
The missed sts before the central patterns are the last 5 (6) 1 (10) 11 sts of the pattern,
6 (7) 2 (11) 12 sts left after the central patterns (before Raglan) are the first sts of the next pattern.

Front:
The central p st is:
for sizes XS, M, XL - the first st of the pattern
for sizes S, L - the 8th st of the pattern.

Slip 5 (13) 8 (3) 11 sts after Raglan, place a marker of the beginning of full pattern, highlight 2 (1) 2
(3) 2 full central patterns.

First rnd of the yoke is worked in the 7th row of the Main pattern:

For size XS:

1 rnd: Raglan, M1L, 25 sts of sleeve: k5, 14 sts of full pattern, p1, k5, M1R

tern, k5, M1R

FOR ALL SIZES:

3 rnd: Raglan, M1L, sts of sleeve in the pattern, M1R, Raglan, M1L, sts of back in the pattern,
M1R, Raglan, M1L, sts of sleeve in the pattern, M1R, Raglan, M1L, sts of front in the pattern, M1R.

4 rnd: all sts in the pattern (k above k, p above p, k above yo).

Work 42 (46) 48 (50) 52 MORE rnds according to 3rd and 4th rnds.

In total there are 46 (50) 52 (54) 56 rnds in the yoke, that is:
1 pattern to the end of rows (from 7th to 36th rows) and 16 (20) 22 (24) 26 rows of the next pattern
in hight (start with 1st row of the pattern).

After the yoke on the needles: 85 (91) 97 (103) 107 sts of front and back,
71 (77) 83 (89) 93 sts of sleeves.

Body
Divide your knitting into body and sleeves, one st of every Raglan goes into the body and the 2nd
st goes into sleeves.
Continue working in the Main pattern, starting with 17 (21) 23 (25) 27 row of the Pattern:

1st rnd: k1, (1 st, sleeve sts, 1 st - put on additional thread or wire), cast on 4 (5) 6 (7) 10 sts for
armhole, k1, sts of the back in the Main pattern, k1, (1 st, sleeve sts, 1 st - put on additional thread
or wire), cast on 4 (5) 6 (7) 10 sts for armhole, k1, sts of the front in the Main pattern

14 of 16
On the needles: 182 (196) 210 (224) 238 sts, that are 13 (14) 15 (16) 17 full patterns.

Work one more rnd in the Main pattern, knit casted on sts and Raglan sts, and place a marker to
the new beginning of the rnd:

For size XS: place a marker before the last sts of the front

For size S: k3, place a marker before the 3rd casted on st.

For size M: k7, place a marker before the Raglan st on the back

For size L: place a marker in 3 sts behind, before the 3 last sts of the front

For size XL: k2, place a marker before the 2nd casted on st.

The beginning of the rnd is the beginning of a full pattern.

Work the body in the round, start working Raglan sts and casted on sts in the Main pattern from
the next rnd.

Work the body for 30-35 cm (12- 14’’).

Change needles to smaller size 4 mm (US 6) and work in rib (k1, p1) for 10 rnds.

Cast off the sts, cut the yarn.

Sleeves
Place sts of a sleeve on the main size needles 5 mm (US8).
In the first row work sts of the sleeve in the Main pattern (continue the pattern from row 17 (21) 23
(25) 27) and pick up sts from the armhole.

1st row:
With right needle pick up the loop between first st of the sleeve and the armhole, slip it to the left
needle and k2tog the first st and the loop, 71 (77) 83 (89) 93 sts in the Main pattern, slip last st of
the sleeves the right needle, with left needle pick up the loop between the last st and the armhole
and ssk the last st and the loop, pick up 4 (5) 6 (7) 10 sts from the armhole.

On the needles 77 (84) 91 (98) 105 sts

For sizes XS, M, XL there are full patterns and 1 halfpattern (first 7 sts of the pattern). Halfpattern
is on the sts of the armhole and should be highlighted by markers.
For sizes S, L there are full patterns on the sleeve

Indicate the beginning of the rnd:

For size XS: k1, place marker of the beginning of the rnd
For size S: k4, place marker of the beginning of the rnd
For size М: place marker of the beginning of the rnd before the first st of the sleeve
For size L: place marker of the beginning of the rnd before the 4th picked up sts in the armhole
For size XL: place marker of the beginning of the rnd before the 9th picked up sts in the armhole

the beginning of the rnd is the beginning of the pattern.

2nd rnd: sts in the Main pattern, k picked up sts

15 of 16
From the next rnd start working picked up sts in the pattern.

3 rnd: 5 (6) 6 (7) 7 full patterns, 1 (0) 1 (0) half pattern (from the 1st to 7th sts of the pattern)
4 rnd: all sts in the pattern

Work in according to rods 3 and 4 to the desired length of the sleeve.

Standard length of the sleeve 40-42 cm (16-17’’).

After working the full length of the sleeve, k2tog all sts of the sleeve in the next rnd. If it’s odd num-
ber of sts, k the last st.

Change needles to smaller size 4 mm (US 6) and work in rib (k1, p1). If the number of sts is odd,
p2tog last 2 sts.
On the needles: 38 (42) 46 (48) 52 sts

Work in rib for 10 rnds. Cast off the sts, cut the yarn.
Work the other sleeve the same way.

Blocking
The finished sweater should be washed by hand with a laundry detergent suitable for your
yarn type. Gently squeeze the washed sweater without twisting. Dry flat on a towel or cot-
ton cloth on a horizontal surface, give it a shape. Do not stretch.

It is not recommended to dry knitwear vertically, on a dryer or under direct sunlight. After
complete drying the sweater can be steamed if necessary.
