Designed to be knitted in DK yarn (or holding a sport weight together with a lace weight mohair)

NEEDLES
Main (US6) 4mm 32”/80 to 100cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference sleeve
Ribbing (US4) 3.5mm 32”/80 to 100cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference cuffs

DIRECTIONS
With ribbing needle & MC cast on (96, 100) 106 (110, 116, 120) using Twisted German cast on method

1x1 TWISTED RIB NECK RIBBING


Place a BOR marker and join to work in the round (BOR will be the centre back of the sweater)
Round 1 *K1tbl, p1 repeat from * to BOR
Repeat Round 1 four times more

YOKE
Continue with MC and ribbing needle
SIZES 1, 3, 5
Knit first row of yoke chart keeping in twisted rib pattern (*k/p 5, m1 repeat from * to last 6 st), k/p 6
SIZES 2, 4, 6
Knit first row of yoke chart keeping in twisted rib pattern (*k/p 5, m1 repeat from * to BOR)
(114, 120) 126 (132, 138, 144) sts

SHORT ROW SHAPING


Change to larger needles and C1 and C2.
Short rows will be worked in 1 x 1 stripe as shown on yoke chart, starting with C2 (pink)
Short Row 1 (RS) k14, W&T
Short Row 2 (WS) p to BOR, SM, p14 W&T
Short Row 3 knit to wrapped stitch, k14, W&T
Short Row 4 purl to previous wrapped stitch, p14, W&T
Short Row 5 (RS) knit to BOR
YOKE CHART
Work yoke chart as shown, making M1 increases as shown (304, 320) 336 (352, 368, 384) sts
+ If required, lengthen yoke here by knitting extra rounds in C1 (remembering to add the same number
to the start of the sleeve when you come to it to keep patterns the same height)

SEPARATE BODY AND SLEEVES
From BOR, with C1, k (48, 52) 56 (60, 64, 68) sts, place next 56 sts on holder for sleeve,
cast on (8, 8) 16 (16, 24, 32) sts for underarm using backwards loop method, knit (96, 104) 112 (120, 128,
136) place next 56 sts on holder for sleeve, cast on (8, 8) 16 (16, 24, 32) sts for underarm, k to BOR

BODY
Work body chart as shown (208, 224) 256 (272, 304, 336) sts

OPTIONAL BODY SHAPING


Knit until the body measures 13cm (5)” from underarm
SET UP ROUND k (52, 56) 64 (68, 76, 84) sts, pm, k (104, 112) 128 (136, 152, 168) sts, pm, k to BOR
DECREASE ROUND (k to 3 sts before marker, k2tog, k1, slm, k1, ssk) twice, k to BOR (4 st decreased)
(Knit 2.5 to 3 cm (1 – 1.5”) then repeat DECREASE ROUND) three times in total (further 12 sts decreased)

Knit till body is desired length

1x1 TWISTED RIB HEM RIBBING


Change to smaller needle
Round 1 *K1tbl, p1 repeat from * to BOR
Repeat round 1 eight times more or till desired length

Bind off in pattern

SLEEVES (both worked the same)


Move sleeve stitches from holder onto main needle
Join C1, knit across live sleeve sts, pickup & knit (8, 8) 16 (16, 24, 32), PM and join for working in the
round. (64, 64) 72 (72, 80, 88) sts

+ Add any additional rows to match yoke

Work all 10 rows from body chart


Continue sleeve in MC only till sleeve measures 20cm (8”) less than desired finished length.

Work sleeve chart 1 as shown, decreasing (4, 4) 6 (6, 8, 10) evenly on round 14.

With MC and smaller needle

Repeat round 1 eight times more or till desired length

Bind off in pattern
