DIRECTIONS
BODY
Back Hem
With smaller needles, CO 51[59, 65, 71, 77, 83, 89] sts.
Row 1 [WS]: P1, (k1, p1) to end of row.
Row 2 [RS]: (K1, p1) to last st, k1.
Repeat Rows 1-2 11 times more, then rep Row 1 once. Break yarn and place sts on holder.
Front Hem
With smaller needles, CO 51[59, 65, 71, 77, 83, 89] sts.
Knit 5 rounds.
Increase round: *K6, M1R, knit to 6 sts before m, M1L, k6, sl m; rep from * once more. 4 sts increased.
Knit 11 rounds.
Repeat last 12 rounds once more. 110[126, 138, 150, 162, 174, 186] sts.
Place rst 61[69, 75, 81, 87, 93, 99] sts of round on holder for Front if desired. Turn and cont working back
and forth on last 61[69, 75, 81, 87, 93, 99] sts of round for Back only.
Back
Beg with a WS row, work in St st until piece measures 5.5[6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5] inches/ 14[15, 16.5, 18, 19, 20.5,
21.5] cm from division of Front and Back, ending after a WS row.
Shape shoulders:
Decrease row [RS]: K2, k2tog, knit to last 4 sts, ssk, k2. 2 sts decreased.
Decrease row [WS]: P2, SSP, purl to last 4 sts, p2tog, p2. 2 sts decreased.
Rep last 2 rows 9[11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17] times more.
Front
Return 61[69, 75, 81, 87, 93, 99] held Front sts to larger needles with WS facing. Join yarn and purl 1 row.
Shape neck:
Note: Left Front and Right Front are worked at the same time with separate balls of yarn. Instructions for each side
are separated by a semi-colon (;).
Dividing row [RS]: K 30[34, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49] , BO 1 st, knit to end. 30[34, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49] sts rem for each
side.
Next row [WS]: Purl to gap formed by previous BO; join separate ball of yarn and BO 1 st, purl to end.
Decrease row [RS]: Knit to end of left front; BO 1 st, knit to end of right front.
Decrease row [WS]: Purl to end of right front; BO 1 st, purl to end of left front.
Repeat last 2 rows 4[4, 5, 6, 7, 6, 7] times more, then repeat Decrease row [RS] once. 24[28, 30, 32, 34, 38, 40]
sts for each side.
Decrease row [WS]: Purl to end of right front; BO 1 st, purl to end of left front.
Decrease row [RS]: Knit to end of left front; BO 1 st, knit to end of right front.
Repeat last 4 rows 3 times more. 20[24, 26, 28, 30, 34, 36] sts for each side.
Work even in St st if necessary until work measures 7.5[8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5] inches/ 19[20.5, 21.5, 23, 24,
25.5, 26.5] cm from Dividing row.
Sew shoulder seams, joining the straight BO edge of each Front shoulder to the decreased slope of each Back
shoulder, starting at neck edge and leaving remaining slope that does not sew evenly to Front shoulder un-
seamed.
Sleeves
With needles for working small circumference in the round, RS facing, and starting at underarm (at separation
of Front and Back), pick up and knit 40[42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52] sts evenly around arm hole. PM and join to work
in the round.
Knit 1 round.
Knit 7 rounds.
Decrease round: K1, k2tog, knit to the last 2 sts, ssk. 2 stitches decreased.
Repeat last 8 rounds 4 times more. 30[32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42] sts.
Knit 7 rounds.
BO in rib patt.
FINISHING
Neckband
With smaller needles and RS of Body facing, join yarn to the right back shoulder seam and pick up and knit
21[21, 23, 25, 27, 25, 27] sts across back neck, pick up and knit 23[24, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32] sts (approx. 3 sts for
every 4 rows) down left front neck, pick up and knit 1 st in BO gap and place a removable marker in this st,
pick up and knit 23[24, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32] sts (approx. 3 sts for every 4 rows) up right front neck, pm and join
to work in the round. 68[70, 76, 80, 86, 86, 92] sts.
Next round: (K1, p1) to 1 st before marked st, CDD, (p1, k1) to last st, p1.
Next round: (K1, p1) to 2 sts before marked st, k1, CDD, k1, (p1, k1) to end.
