Mike: I don’t think make-up should be allowed at school. School is for education; it’s not a fashion
parade. Girls think they look better when they are wearing lipstick or mascara, but it’s not true.
They look great when their skin is natural. Maybe, when they are older and have wrinkles, they
will want make-up, but not now. Just for fun, I once dyed my hair green! Can you believe it?
Hanna: My mother taught me how to apply a foundation and use eyeliner correctly, because she thinks
it’s something every woman should be able to do. My school doesn’t let us wear make-up, but
sometimes I wear foundation to cover up my freckles.
Alice: At my school we have to wear uniforms. Jewellery and make-up are not allowed. In my opinion,
it’s a very good rule. I hate seeing girls wearing false eyelashes or lip crayons. I sometimes paint
my nails with nail polish, but only during the holidays.

TAPESCRIPT
How often do you say, ‘I don’t have anything to wear!’ Well, we’ve got a solution for you. Swap your clothes
with someone else! We are organising a swapping party on Saturday at 5 pm.
Who are we? We are a group friend who care about the planet. We want to recycle any clothes that we no
longer wear.
Do you have any dresses which you no longer like, but which still look new? Or maybe you got some clothes
which were a gift, but which were either too small or too big? If so, this party is for you!
You don’t need any money to attend the party, but you must bring at least five items of clothing to swap.
Don’t worry about food or drink. Snacks and a cup of tea will be provided.
Come and have some fun! If you want an invite, send us an email. We are waiting to hear from you!
