TPEE consists of fully polymerized hard and soft segments. The hard
segments are crystalline polybutylene terephthalate ( made from
1,4-Butylene glycol and Terephthalic acid or Dimethyl phthalate);the
soft segments are amorphous polyethers(Polytetra-methylene glycol).
TPEE CHARACTERISTICS
TPEE provides a winning combination for many parts and
components. They give the flexibility of rubbers, the strength of
plastics and the processibility of thermoplastics. They can be
processed easily by conventional thermoplastic processes like
injection molding, blow molding, calendaring, rotational molding,
extrusion and meltcasting.
TPEE is ideal for parts requiring excellent flex fatigue and broad
use temperature. It is strongly resistant to tearing, flex-cut growth,
creep and abrasion. Its mechanical properties provide the strength
and stiffness you need, in addition to outstanding toughness. Its
chemical properties make it highly resistant to hydrocarbons and
many other fluids.
If you have multi-part or multi-material components that could be
made simpler or operate more efficiently with TPEE, we invite you
to learn more about this unique thermoplastic polyester elastomer.
40D:
A 40 nom. Shore D, containing non-discoloring stabilizer, low
melting point, plasticiser free, high performance resin for extrusion
and injection; with high impact resistance down to -40°C as well as
excellent mechanical properties.
55D:
A 55 nom. Shore D, containing non-discoloring stabilizer,
plasticiser free, high performance resin for injection molding; high
flow, good impact resistance down to -40°C as well as mechanical
properties up to 120°C.
TPEE APPLICATIONS
Take advantage of the unique combination of properties and
processing productivity offered by TPEE to innovate. Use it to
develop parts and products that cut cost, improve performance,
reduce weight, or open new business opportunities.
TPEE has already proven its performance for a wide variety of
applications in automotive, electrical/electronic and various other
industrial and consumer products. Some example include:
Auto parts and systems:
Air bag deployment door, CVJ boots, air intake ducting, and
various components for heavy trucks and off-road equipment
Industrial products:
Drive or idler belts, energy management parts, gears, hose and
tubing, pump diaphragms, seals, shock- and noise-absorbing
connectors and fasteners, wire and cable jacketing.
Consumer products:
Parts for appliances footwear, furniture, power tools, sporting
goods and other products

Injection operation of TPEE
1.Drying:
TPEE must be dried prior to processing. It is critical to ensure that
the resin is dry during processing to make quality parts that would give
good service performance. Moisture levels above 0.10% may seriously
impair an injection operation.
Drying time and temperature will depend on the initial moisture
level in the material(often is 0.3-0.6% ),so we suggest the drying
condition :105℃/3-5hours.
