I then decided that the first contents page and a big space missing and it needed improving. Therefore I included a quote from the
main artist Terrell. I then included a signature from him to prove to the readers he had actually said it, and ensured that I quoted it
in his language style also. I then inserted a picture of the female mixer ¶Waynetta· to create the effect that audience can really
understand the quote.
I then updated the final Contents Rage by ensuring that the Contents Rage had the correct information on. I then realised that I had
recently updated my Front Cover therefore I had to change the image of the Front Cover in the right hand corner to the updated
version of it.
This is my Contents Rage of my Magazine. I have
included many ways to indicate what is inside the
magazine and what the magazine consists of.
As you can see I have ensured that I used the same
colours to math the front cover of ¶Bounce· magazine.
I have included the fashion aspect of the magazine, I
have included what the magazine features and also what
is big in the magazine this week.
I have ensured that to attract the correct audience I
have used an appropriate language style that my
audience and the artists themselves use.
I also included the front page of the magazine to ensure
that the readers no that I have included everything that
is adervertised on the front cover is in the magazine.
Lastly I included a plug from the main artist included in
the magazine that is signed by himself to show that it
his real words.
Rrogress of Double Rage Spread
I struggled when making my double page spread. I couldn·t get the layout right. I included picking out quotes and included headings, section headers, and columns. I then decided
that the colours were not the same as the ones I had been consistent with throughout the front cover and the double page spread. I therefore inserted a black background which
immediately made the layout more suitable for my magazine. I edited the font of the writing to a more suitable font which also fit in with my audience and genre of the magazine.
I then switched the columns round to a lower angle and a glow on the main image of who the article was based on. I added a background line to give a more appropriate effect. I
then added the main headline that is used on the front cover to represent ¶Bounce· and included it in the left hand corner to show that the article is a ¶Bounce· article and is
produced by the magazine. I then added the cd cover image of ¶Terrells· cd and track list. I also edited the colours and added a more creative effect on the interview we had with
¶Terrell· by making the question stand out in red to the answers being in white.
In the double Rage Spread I
tried to keep the consistency
of the colour scheme and
house style that I have
created throughout the
magazine.
I involved various unknown
information about the artist
such as what personal
information, life as an artist
information and his new cd
information.
I tried to create a sense that
when the audience read it
they would feel as though
they knew him as more of a
person than just seeing him
as a distance artist.
I included snippets of the
main quotes and interesting
photography to represent
his character. I included the
correct page number in the
right hand corner as I did in
the contents page.
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media
products?
My media product uses key elements that I have taken from VIIBE Magazine. The two magazine have noticeably the same genre of audience
e.g. r&b, rap, hip-hop style, the only difference is VIBE has an American audience whereas my magazine is based on an English audience.
I have tried to include most of the same convention styles as vibe has used in my front cover, contents page and also my double page spread.
I took examples of the VIBE productions and aimed to reinforce the same techniques used in attracting the target audience.
The English side to hip-hop, gangster rap is seen to be more slicker and more inspirational than the ¶gangsta rap· that you see
represented negatively in magazines and newspapers. But the American side to the genre is seen to be hard, bad and more
towards the crime side of things.
Dennis Rublishing are web-based when it comes to magazines. They own various types of online magazine.
I have chose Dennis Rublishing due to Vibe Magazine closing down to fact that the readers were more online, video orientated than reading
when it comes down to it due the stereotyping of r&b, hip-hop, gangsters etc. Therefore my magazine would benefit from having a web
based publisher due to my audience.
Choosing Dennis Rublishing could benefit my magazine by benefiting from online technologies such as videos, interactive blogs.
My magazine could benefit from this due to the audience being able to write their opinions on the online magazine and could definitely
benefit from the feedback.
Dennis Rublishing has also had many experiences in the industry to offer a lot of useful support to the magazine in many ways in the WEB
2.0/3.0 area.
Dennis Rublishing could be happy to take on another magazine as part of their collection. I think this magazine would be different from any
others they originally have due to the audience.
Dennis Rublishing is one of the world·s leading independent publishers. Founded in 1974, the group consists of a number of operating
companies in the UK, USA, Australia and India.
The company publishes over 50 magazines, digital magazines, Magbooks , websites, apps and mobile sites in the UK.
In the last decade, Dennis has transformed itself from a traditional print publisher into a multiplatform content provider, putting the
brand at the heart of everything it does.
On average 700,000 people visit one of Dennis· 35 websites every day. Dennis Rublishing was originally run out of a garret in Central
London·s Goodge Street. The company v is still based nearby and Dennis employs over 500 people around the world. My magazine could
benefit from this due to Dennis Rublishing being worldwide.

Looking back at your preliminary task (the College magazine), what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to full product??
From when I made my College Magazine I have come along way in progressing in many ways.
Firstly from my knowledge in using Rhotoshop, from the layout and making things become clearer and setting it out like a magazine
properly.
Including relevant information due to the audience of the magazine and what information I needed to include for the audience to be
interested.
Also I have learnt about using a house style which consists of using the same colours throughout and using a similar layout thought-out
the whole of the magazine to make it appear more presentable and professional.
