An approach towards ideal MANET protocol by Testing and
Modifying old protocols on different parameters
Aims and Objectives

Our aim is to make routing protocol more efficient by comparing

and testing them on different parameters. After Comparison we
find out the result and on the basis of that result we Improve and
modifying the protocols
MANET
Routing
• Routing means to choose a path. Routing
in MANET means to choose a right and
suitable path from source to destination.
Routing terminology is used in different
kinds of networks such as in telephony
technology, electronic data networks and
in the internet network.
Reactive Routing Protocols
• Reactive routing protocols are called on-
demand routing protocols so these routing
protocols are called when they are needed
and the routes are built.

Example:- AODV, DSR

Proactive Routing Protocols

• The routing information about all the nodes

is build and maintained by the proactive
protocols. The proactive routing protocols
are independent of whether or not the route
is needed . Control messages are
transmitted with periodically intervals. Even
if there is no data flow still control
messages are transmitted.
Example:- OLSR
