Interesting Facts To Know
• Male and Female Chihuahuas both weigh under 6 pounds and sometimes even more heavy
than this.
• Male and Female Chihuahuas both have a height of 6-10 inches or even more taller than
this height.
• They can have a coat that is smooth or long hair.
• The most common colors for a Chihuahua is black, white, tan, brown blue, and many other
colors.
• Chihuahuas normally have a litter size of 4 puppies.
• Their life span is about 14-18 years or longer.
More Facts
• The Chihuahua is in the Toy Group and it’s the smallest dog breed in the
whole world.
• Chihuahuas have huge eyes and huge ears. That’s big for such a little, tiny
dog.
• Chihuahuas are originally from Mexico.
• A nickname that ONLY Mexicans can call the Chihuahua is a “New Yorker.”
• They also call them “taco bell dogs” or they call them “Mexican Dogs.”

• They can have low blood sugar.
• They can have eye infections and eye injuries.
• They can have dental issues.
• They can have “Luxating Patella.”
