    Development process
    Main idea
    • Wii Live
    sampler/performance
    tool.
    • Idea is basically to
    make use of the
    capabilities of the
    wiimote to make an
    instrument.
    Mac Snow leopard
    • The wiimote instrument idea does work. Just
    not on Snow leopard OS.
    • Which means I cant present it to you here at
    the university as I have no laptop and all the
    Macs here use Snow leopard.
    • It is interesting to watch as you can really tell
    from a distance that the performer with the
    wiimote is having a marked effect on the
    sound.
    So I moved on to…
    Frippertronics

    • Brian Eno invents


    frippertronics using
    a tape loop for
    Robert Fripp.
    The tape loop
    Recreated with Max/Msp
    • I am now using a Playstation controller as my
    input device. This is one of the reasons I
    decided to go with loop sampling.
    • The performance would greatly suffer if I were
    to use this as an instrument.
