PROBABLE CAUSE STATEMENT—GENERAL FORM |, the undersigned, upon my osth and under the penalties of perjury, state as follows: | am a law enforcement offiecr employed by the Missouri State Highway Patrot. Thave Probable cause to belicve thar Cassidy Nicole Ann King, date of birth March 27, 1986, of 509 Madison Street, Moberly, Missouri, committed one or mate criminal offense(s): ‘Abandonment of a Corpse (RSMO 194.425, charge code 36048990) ‘Tho facts supporting this belief occurred on May 8, 2011, in Randolph County, Missouri. At approximately 1617 hours, May 8, 2011, law enforcement persormel were summoned 1o the residence located at 1630 Route H, Higbee, Randolph County, Missouri, in regard. to an infant child being discovered deceased inside a duffel bag floating in » pond, Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the remains of a deceased newborn male infant near a pond southeast of the residence, Investigation at the scene reveuled the duffel bag containing the infant had becn pulled to the pond bank by Jamie Miles. During a subsequent imtervicw with Miles, she stated she recognized the duffel bag to be one commonly used by her sister, Cassidy King. During the course of the investigation, I came into contact with Christian Lierly, an associate of King’s. Lierly contacted me by telephone on May 9, 2011, at 1015 hours, and advised me King wanted to “tum herself in.” During an interview with LLierly at the Moberly Police Department, Lierly informed me King had confided in hira the night before that sho had given birth to a child several weeks ago at her residence in Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. ‘A post mortem examination of the infant was conducted at the Boone / Callaway Medical Examiner's Office in Columbia on May 9, 2011. During the examination, a towel was discovered among the contents of the duffel bag wherein the deceased infant was found. ‘The name "Cassidy King" was written on the towel. ‘The facts contained in this Probable Cause Statcment are truc to the best of my belief and Dato: May 9, 2011 AY Ext Printed Name: Steven V.
