A wayfinding system for a new 5000 square meter government office building in Førde, Norway was inspired by subway signage in London, Paris, and New York. The design firm Ralston & Blau created a multifaceted system that assigned strong colors to each office and used iconic subway lines to guide visitors through the building. The transportation-inspired graphics were fitting as the building is considered an emerging hub in the growing city.

Inspired by the underground sign systems of London, Paris, and
New York, Ralston & Blau(Norway) created a multifaceted wayfinding system for the new Storehagen Atrium, a 5000m2 government office building in Førde, Norway.
The design team assigned strong colors to each function/office
in the building and used iconic subway lines to guide visitors through the space. The transportation-inspired graphics are especially fitting since the building itself is considered an emerging hub in the growing city.–P.M.K. 0 Comments
