Multipath Routing In Wireless Mesh Network Survey

Recently, the WMNs (Wireless Mesh Network) have increased their popularity and
kept the interest of the most important research groups all over the world due to
their self-configuring, self-healing capabilities, as well as their low equipment and
deployment cost. A significant issue in Mesh networks is to support multimedia
transmissions while providing Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees to mobile users.
For real-time multimedia streaming, unstable throughput or insufficient bandwidth
will incur unexpected delay or jitter, and it remains difficult to provide
comprehensive service guarantees for wireless mesh environment. In the seminar,
survey of various multipath routing protocols for providing multimedia QoS in
wireless mesh networks is done. We compare these routing protocols with regard to
QoS parameters.
