At the first sign of laptop trouble, the first thing you always need to do is to restart your computer. Often that will fix a
lot of issues.

Because laptops are carried around and turned on/off so much, they aren’t as reliable as other computers. For this
reason, you need to save often and back up your work often. This will save you A LOT of stress and frustration! Use your
jump drive and if you don’t have it, you can save the file in your D2L locker or email it to yourself.

It is just as important to be organized in how you save files. Open your My Documents folder. Right click. Create a New
Folder. Name it after one of your classes. From now on, store all of your work for that class in this folder. Now continue
the process for each one of your courses. This will help you stay more organized and help you find your work easier.

Remember that you need to charge your laptop every night. Coming to school with an uncharged laptop is like coming
to class without a pencil or pen and paper.

The right front switch on your computer is your wireless antenna switch. If the light is not glowing orange, your wireless
is turned off and you will not be able to connect to the internet.
