RADITHOR!!! 1931 (1)

I am deeply shocked at the effects that radium has had

on the factory girls in New Jersey. Never in my country
have I seen such results. 1930 (2)

Hi Marie, It’s Missy! It was nice to meet

you. Such an honor!

The Radium Institute was opened today, it will be a

constant struggle however to keep it open due to financial
troubles. If only the French government would help just a
little…1918 (3)

Off to Bordeaux to hopefully assist the soldiers in any

way I can. I believe that X-Ray technology will
modernize the way in which soldiers are treated in both
mobile vans and stationary hospitals. 1914 (4)

I am so grateful to have been awarded the Nobel Prize in

Chemistry for the discovery of Polonium and Radium. I only
wish Pierre were here to celebrate with me. 1911 (5)
Marie! I might have found a new treatment for
cancer. Radium

Congratulations to Henri Bequerel and Pierre Curie on the

Nobel Prize in Physics. I am grateful for the opportunity to
have worked with both of you so closely on the research of
the radiation phenomena. 1903 (6)

I can’t believe we were both half awarded for the

Nobel Prize in Physics! We did it! 1903
After months of research, I finally isolated Radium. I feel
as if Chemistry is changing drastically, and each discovery
brings us closer to new ideas. 1900 (7)

Found another element! This time, it closely resembles

Barium, we will name it Radium. December, 1898 (8)

Who knew that there was an element that is 300 times more
active than Uranium? Pierre Curie and I just discovered one!
We will name it Polonium after my home country of Poland.
July, 1898 (9)

Thank you for persuading me to turn in my

doctoral thesis! Let us hope it goes well. 1895
