Once I step into the Sakeien Garden, the minds of worries, scary instantaneously flow away from my mind.

The scene in front of me is amazing with abundant, lush grass with a grassy smell. Due to the rain, the smells is

even stronger and fresher. Ahead of me, there is a nicely renovated russet color wooden Japanese house. It fits

perfectly and flawlessly with the nature surrounding.

Behind the house, there are diminutive hills and covered with hemlock, sycamore, willow… trees stretching

along the gentle slope. The slope is covered with a thick layer of yellowish red, brown leaves like a carpet. The

contrast in the color of the house and emerald, viridian color of the grass, trees surrounding makes the landscape

look like a work of art I see in an art museum exhibit. The color amalgamation harmonizes perfectly nevertheless

of neither rain nor a cinereous sky. It gives me a peaceful feeling and an unruffled mind. The fears about my

assignment on this excursion just abscond from my mind. I really would like to take a picture, but I can’t.

As the rain pours, every rain drop feels like hammers in miniature drumming on the petite umbrella I am

holding in my hands. Also I can hear off in the distance lots and lots of drops of sparkly water hitting on the roof of

the wooden house and dripping off onto the ground plink... drip... plink... splash... The umbrella is no battle

against the nature, the rain makes my clothes begin to soak. However, this doesn’t interrupt me from enjoying the

beautiful scenery.

Beside the house there is a narrow, taper stone bridge. It is so narrow that no more than a person can pass

through at once. Under the bridge there is a babbling, meandering stream of water flowing with fishes swimming

happily, freely in a group. The splashing water crashes on a bunch of pebble rocks, creating a pattern of

continuous rhythm. The stream leads up to a transparent pond with brown and yellow leaves floating on it. There

is a mirror image of the house reflected clearly in the pond. The panorama before my eyes is so magnificent and

superb. I can’t believe it, it is like a dream. I wish I can live in this gorgeous environment.
